Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

Spifford Max and the Cycle Pups Go to Washington, D.C. follows five diverse and cool
puppies who love school around the famous American capital city. Spifford Max, Cycle Peter, Cycle Lucy, Cycle Mary, and Cycle Stevie, zoom away on custom max cycles and use their gift of knowledge to help readers learn about historic landmarks including the White House and the Capitol Building. This is the first book in the travel series.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

I believe that children, parents, and educators would love this book! The target audience of this book is 4 – 8 year olds, early childhood educators, book clubs, curriculum developers, homeschooling and remote learning populations.

The Cycle Pups make great entertainment in all genres as the characters encourage kindness, teamwork, and peacebuilding.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

I love Kurt Vonnegut. His writing style is very eclectic and I love his sense of humour. Slaughter House Five and Breakfast of Champions are particular favourites. I also admire J.D. Salinger, Maya Angelou, and Langston Hughes for their contemporary themes and social perspectives.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

I would suggest that new writers follow their own intuitive voice regarding literary direction, scope, and themes. Developing a signature style takes time, effort, and practice. Birthing writers should never let anyone tell them that they cannot accomplish their dreams regarding literary pursuits.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

I love referring readers to our new website, www.cyclepups.com, where they can find out about upcoming Cycle Pups books and download additional resources for remote or classroom learning. The site is designed to help students answer the comprehension questions at the back of the book. IntuitiveGalleries.com is another site where I post artwork, music, and writings of an intuitive nature.
