About the Book

Hello My name is Shance Gabbidon, I am 23, I’m from Brooklyn. I am Queer and Non Binary my pronouns are They / Them. I’ve been writing since I was young . This book is basically my life story written in poems, but this book is a safe space for my readers . I wrote this poetry book to connect with people I want people to feel free when they read my poetry.

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

My poetry book is about mental health and my struggles with it and my book is a safe space for my readers

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

Those who are interested in Mental health These poems will open my world to others, perhaps they will see common stories, understand the struggles and find answers to help in their own situations. THe book has been created to provide comfort, to be a safe place and so, those looking to escape their world for a moment will find my book to offer that safe harbour. Please come and enjoy my poems, and I truely hope that the words find you and keep you in a safe place.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

The best advice that I can give to anyone is to always write what you feel. This way your true story will be told, your words will be more passionate and compelling and the reader will connect with your words and follow your story.
