About the Author

C. Christopher Scott is a husband, father, minister, songwriter, entrepreneur, designer and author. With over 20 years of leadership experience, Christopher has committed his life to the holistic success and wellness of everyone he comes in contact with. “I think everything I do comes back to a love for people and a desire to see people do better. I honestly want the best for everyone I meet. I believe that when God allows our paths to cross, it is for a specific purpose. When good people touch you, the experience should leave you better than when they found you. So when people read something I wrote, hear a song that I composed or come in contact with one of my businesses, my prayer is that it in some way enlightens them and encourages them. That’s where my heart is.” Christopher, known for his wisdom, believes it is the responsibility of every human to pass along wisdom. “When I was a kid, I was always around people that were older than me so I was always ingesting information way beyond my years. My love affair with music started when I was just 3. I started writing and drawing when I was 10. My interests and aspirations were always beyond my age. Age and maturity are not the same things so while age brings body changes, wisdom brings mind changes. Our world is suffering from mind issues because we aren’t gravitating to wisdom. When you look at the media and the imagery we are flooded with, wisdom is usually not in the picture. My heart is to bring wisdom to the forefront through music, literature and speaking to people.” Possessing a heart for humanity and a practical approach to learning, Chris has worked behind the scenes to build and equip many leaders for success. “My work experience started at 8 years old, the ministry started at 14 and athletics throughout my life as a player and a coach. I have had the opportunity to help guide professional athletes, pastors, single mothers, gang members and a plethora of people from various backgrounds and demographics. Regardless of what you do for a living, everybody and has struggles and fears. It is my joy to make people better and I think it is our duty to humanity to leave a legacy of wisdom that people can build on. We all have to do our part and keep wisdom as the guiding principle by which we pursue our destiny.”

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

This is a special book to me because I wrote it after my father passed away and this is the journey I went through to heal and refocus. It is based on Phil 4:8 which says

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

This devotional literally tells you what to think in the next 21 days according to the word. This book will help you reset your mind so that you can be the best ‘you’ possible. Conquer every distraction, internally and externally.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

Anyone who has experienced a loss, trauma or in need of a re-centring. Anyone feeling like their spiritual equilibrium is off and need to reconnect on a deeper level with God. When the mind is off focused as the result of difficult times, Calibrate is a good devotional to dig into.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

The Bible. The word of God always calibrates us and brings us back to what really matters. Nothing can compare to it.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

Read, write and rehearse. Writing is a skill so like any skill the more you develop it and get feedback from coaches, the better you become.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?
