Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book, Ordering Our Steps 2: Focused on Christ, What is it about?

Ordering Our Steps 2: Focused on Christ is my second book, which continues the format of daily devotions related to sports. As a former college athlete, youth pastor, and current college coach, my world revolves around the intersection of faith and sports, so I see many great sports moments that reflect biblical truths found in the Bible.
These devotions are personal, uplifting and inspiring, designed to challenge athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts to grow their faith.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, Ordering Our Steps 2: Focused on Christ, is it directed at any particular market?

It is designed for those coming from the Christian experience. Anyone with a background in athletics as a player, coach, parent, youth sponsor, or just a sports enthusiast will connect well with the sports-related devotions.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

My favourite devotional book is Oswald Chambers’ “My Utmost for His Highest.”
My two favourite series are “The Lord of the Rings” series by J.R.R. Tolkien and “The Chronicles of Narnia” by C.S. Lewis. All three had a major impact in my young life, helping to affirm and shape my morals and beliefs.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

I believe reading other works is very critical. My parents raised me with a classical mindset, so I read major works at a younger age. This exposed me to great writing styles.
I also believe reading other works in the genre you wish to write will help to enhance your writing.
Finally, write! But allow others whom you respect to read and critique your work so that you can continue to improve your writing!

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

my personal website is leo.sayles.com. (With the new book release, we are updating and possibly changing to a different web provider).
