About the Book
This is a collection of poems that have been inspired by love. It’s a story about how love is unexpected and unrequited and both painful and beautiful. I hope this book resonates with you, whether you are in love, recovering from heartbreak or are the object of someone’s affection.
About the Author – Sumera Farman
I am Born to Write. I started writing articles for a now-defunct newspaper called Eastern Insider. I then began writing for DesiBlitz.com which is how I built a following. Currently, I am doing my Master of Arts (MA) in Professional Creative Writing through Coventry University. I am also a part of the National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE)
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
It’s a collection of poetry that tells a story of unexpected and unrequited love and how it is both painful and beautiful at the same time
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
I would say for anyone who likes poetry and anyone who has felt love and been rejected
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
I actually love to read crime novels. I like Helen H Durrant and Agatha Christie, Kathy Reichs and Minette Walters and Angela Marsons
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
I’d say write until you’re happy. Write down your thoughts, feelings and ideas you want to develop and write what comes naturally. Find your own style. Don’t try and imitate someone else. Also find people you trust to read your work and critique it
