About the Author

At 43 years old, I did not expect my life to start when my daughter Teigan Rose was born in 2011. We were running a pub in Beck Row at the time and Teigan was a healthy little girl until at 2 weeks old she was kissed on the lips by someone with a cold sore in which she contracted herpes meningitis, after noticing something wasn’t right, my wife and I had a daunting hospital trip in which we found out our daughter had been diagnosed with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. Things took a while to settle but we found our feet and I was offered my first big job since Teigan getting ill – an events catering manager, managing at some of the biggest sporting events in the world such as Champions League Finals, European Championship Finals & The Grand National to name but a few. Within this job, I have been able to make connections which leads me onto TeiganSmile, which was set up by my wife and me to fundraise for our amazing little girl in order to give her the best life possible! When Covid hit; like many others, I didn’t have a clue what to do, and it was as if something fell from the sky and a train of thought drove through my head which brought me onto writing The King & Elvis. Post-Covid and the fundraising is back on recently organising my third charity football match in aid of TeiganSmile, and I’ve recently been announced as part Director of a non-league club (Dial Square FC) with the future of that looking bright!! All proceedings of The King & Elvis will go to TeiganSmile, I hope you enjoy it!
