Discover Strategies For Success On The Job Market
“Work Matters: Insights & Strategies for Job Seekers in a Rapidly Changing Economy” by Brent M. Jones is not your average motivational book. Unlike other books in the field, it gives readers insight into the best strategies for success on the job market from an expert career counsellor. All of this while focusing extensively on the post-pandemic economic world

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

Recent business journal articles have reported that between 25 and 40% of the workers in the USA are considering resigning. #GreatResignation has been trending and my advice is don’t do it until you have a job lined up and this book can help.
Those wanting a change and those that have to find a job will find insight that is reflective of the current economy and changes that have taken place.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

Malcolm Gladwell is a favorite. His writings focus on the unexpected implications of research in the social sciences, like sociology and psychology, and his conclusion seem grounded in facts

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

Stephen King is a favorite fiction writer and with as many books as he has written he always includes in his advice on writing (which is excellent) to read as much as you can. I think that reading non-fiction, fiction, fantasy and science fiction all help to make you a better writer.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

My Website Connected Events Matter focuses on the books I have written and my experiences and articles about career development. I have been a constant reader for many years and my book reviews are also included on the site.
