The Journey to the Centre of your Soul @adstansbury

Discover who you are through the mirrors of life

About the Book

The Journey to the Centre of your Soul is a guide for those who are willing to ask deep questions about their relationship to life so they may uncover who they are and who they want to be.

How can we be the change we wish to see in the world until we understand who we are as individuals? Only then can we encourage and support others on their journey to uncover their truth, creating the societal ripple effect that we need as a catalyst for collective change.

The journey to the centre of your soul will uncover your pure and unique expression.

About the Author

My Life Journey has been diverse and has given me a real depth of life experience. I have always enjoyed using my body and life as a laboratory to learn from. It provides us with all the knowledge we need for our journey and lessons to pass on to help others.

My philosophy is based on my life experience. Such as extreme dietary beliefs and protocols from my days as an award-winning personal trainer, the physical training and discipline needed for body building shows, the deep inner work with plant medicines and psychedelics, becoming a Reiki Master and self-publishing two books in two years.

Along with my journeys through illness, financial debt, relationships, and the lessons that marriage, divorce, and deep heartbreak have gifted me with.

Every day is a school day.

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

The Journey to the centre of your Soul is a practical guide to help people gain a deeper understanding of who they are and who they want to be through the mirrors of life.

The key concept throughout the book is that life is happening for you, not to you and that every location, person and thing has been perfectly placed in your life so that you can answer the question ‘who am I?’ with a deep sense of knowing.

I take people on a journey through three different layers of relating in our lives;

Environment – Based on sensory perception.

Others – How we relate to family, friends and romantic partnerships.

You – Your relationship with yourself.

This book was born in 2021 as I went through a really difficult break-up with one of my best friends of 15 years, which forced me to ask and reflect on the questions: Who am I and who do I want to be.

All the sections and subheadings came to me at once one evening and I began writing the book the following day in September and finished it in November.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

This book is ideal for anyone who is feeling a bit lost in life or at a crossroads. They may also be feeling that life is happening to them in a cruel way. My book will help them to take a more objective look at what life is reflecting back to them about themselves and how they can learn from it.

The book is aimed at those with a deeper philosophical outlook on life, looking for inspiration, motivation and wanting to go on a journey of self-discovery.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch has had a huge impact on me and my outlook, and how I perceive my life and reality. It’s a book that feels very true to me and that talks about concepts without any form of agenda. I have it on audible and it’s beautifully narrated by a male and a female actor playing the different voices of God.

The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer is also a big favourite and always helps me to remember to trust more. It’s a really engaging true story about one man’s life and how by letting go and trusting that life would bring him the opportunities he needed, he went from a hippie to the owner of a multi-billion-dollar software company.

King, Warrior, Magician, Lover by Robert L. Moore, Douglas Gillette takes a fascinating look at the four male archetypes laid out by Carl Jung. This book has helped give me a framework for my own personal development and the work I am now doing with others.

The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. Hit me on such a deep level many many years ago before I began my own spiritual evolution, and I have re-read it recently. It’s a fun fictional adventure that has profound truths at the heart of it for the evolution of humanity.

Fictional books of adventure and fables that have deep spiritual lessons are my favourite kind of books.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

I would say just keep showing up every day, once you have the framework for your book then it’s just a matter of chipping away steadily at it.

Both books I’ve written have been done by having a non-negotiable 30-minute writing session at the start of each day with a coffee. Some days I write 300 words and others 1,000, but every day you show up and write even a few words, you get closer to your target.

Enjoy the process!

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?
