Rushan “Shawn” Wasim is the founder and CEO of Learnlab. Shawn was born in Pakistan and moved to the United States when he was 11 years old. Emigrating from a country where education is not accessible to everyone made him realize the importance of the opportunities that his new country had to offer. After completing middle school and high school in Houston, Shawn enrolled in college to study physics and then attended graduate school for a Master’s in engineering and an MBA. While teaching his friend 3D math, he realized there was a problem — we see in three dimensions but learn in two dimensions when reading books and drawing on whiteboards.
Thus, Learnlab was born!
