About the Author

Gloria’s writing focuses on the inclusion of people of color in the fantasy genre, and she believes these characters are sadly underrepresented in the genre she loves to read. The Kyandra Saga is a five-book fantasy series with more books in the works to follow. Does the World Need Another Hero is a series of shorts that take a hero’s journey, and The Blood Bond Series, A Black Vampires, is a mature erotica series?
All Gloria Sanders-William’s fiction writings are works that have unfolded after over a decade of persistence and dreams.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

Any person of any age is interested in short stories that involve heroism and finding what it takes inside to move forward when faced with challenges no matter the genre.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

My favourite authors are American. Mostly the classic short story writers like Ambrose Bierce, Jack London, Stephen

Authors include Mercedes Lackey, Robert Jordon, Terry Brooks, David Eddings, all from the fantasy genres, they inspired me the most to attempt to tell stories that would include people of color in the mix. I wanted to tell stories like that, but in the color of the skin, I was in.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

Above all else, be true to your voice. Believe in your writing, and don’t be discouraged by the voice that will appear to you that you’re not very good. ‘Use that voice to challenge yourself.’
It’s so cliche but true. You are your worst enemy as a writer. Don’t be afraid to write outside your ‘box’ because the sky isn’t the limit, but what lies beyond.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?
