Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

“Ice Gift” is a short science-fiction story about a post-apocalyptic world at the very end of the latest ice age. Every spring, ancient icebergs melt near the shores where the last humans live. Things the wandering ice brings belong to a civilization long dead and forgotten. Usually those “ice gifts” are just trash but sometimes, they do have a good story to tell.
This short story is what the comic “Gifts of wandering ice” was inspired by. They don’t have much in common besides the idea of ancient artefacts being trapped in ice.
“Ice Gift” is an illustrated book where every page is a big full-colour picture. So it falls somewhere in between books and comics.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

It will be safe to read by anyone, actually, there is no explicit content here.
Comic fans may enjoy the big full-page illustrations, anyone interested in science fiction may enjoy the story.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors to choose from, which book and author would you suggest to be your favourite and why?

I’m a big fan of Myst books: “The Book of Atrus”, “The Book of Ti’ana”, and “The Book of D’ni” written by British science-fiction writer David Wingrove with assistance from Myst’s creators, Rand and Robyn Miller. These books have just the right mixture of science fiction and fantasy to my taste.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new to the writing work, or who was trying to enhance their craft or business?

Read a lot and not just fiction, read about how the real world works (the basics of biology, geology, chemistry, physycs, and history). It will make your fictional worlds more believable.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

Yes, I have a website: http://giftscomic.com/
It’s dedicated to my main project – “Gifts of wandering ice” – but there is a page with my short stories and poems as well. All more my contacts are also there.
