About Colours of my Rainbow

Colours of my Rainbow

Colours of my Rainbow: This is the story of me – Jewls that has to fight her way through different situations, people and relationships to try to figure out if true love really exists.
My journey through one bad situation to a worst, not giving up on the idea that it is out there.
Working through curiosity of dating the same sex, dealing with deception, betrayal and lies.

Ranging from meeting Melanie who was a verified lesbian but just had issues with other people pointing it out. Moving forward to a kind soul that just could not be a support system in time of need that I needed. Love does not always overcome all as you battle with depression and stress.

Giving an old Flame another chance just to feel the height of an unspeakable betrayal and fear for her own life. Feeling lost and alone and just wanting to give up on hope.

Finding the love of my life Ilana, which swept me off my feet and initiated a fire within me that I never knew could exist, to have it all crumble beneath my feet landing me in the lowest place I had ever been. Ilana loosing herself with the loss of her mother and finally giving in the need to become a man, as she always felt like he was in the wrong body. Trying to conform to what people would accept, he went through a massive depression and suicidal thoughts to finally give in and admit he needs to me – Brandon.

With this emotional rollercoaster Jewls life gets turned upside down as Brandon, emotionless to be able to cope with the loss and change, finding attention from another woman, leaving Jewls with a void that she never knew.

Wanting to move on, Jewls slips into a rebound relationship with a 60 year old alcoholic, which is very abusive in many ways. Trying to get away from this, fed up with untrustworthy people, Jewls retries to connect with further characters which in themselves prove to be devastating or sad.
A knight in shining armour to come to the rescue the day Jewls gets kicked out and is stranded homeless on the street, as the bond has never been broken between Jewls and Brandon.

Being massive support, encouraging Jewls to take time to work out what she truly wants in life they become closer than ever until one day they have to admit, there are many people that might be suitable partners for them out in the world, but there is only one Jewls and Brandon!

About the Author

As a 42 year old woman with many life experiences, always being told when telling stories of my life to put it in writing, I decided to share a big part.
It seems everyone is looking for the “perfect partner” and even when they thinking to have found exactly that, it feels at times, something is missing.

Knowing how much I wanted to find out if “TRUE LOVE” exists, I added some colours of people that touched my life and experiences onto the big Picture we call life to paint a beautiful rainbow of the journey of LOVE.

Growing up in a family with 9 children, in a very religious household, my idea of happiness and marriage was defined by this. Seeing my parents married for over 45 years made my soul rejoice.

Having children never seemed like something I would be capable of, but I knew that I wanted to find that one person that will walk through life with me, have my back, make me smile, cry with me and catch me when I fall.

My journey has taken me years of choices that might be viewed as bad, but for me it was a journey that painted a picture of my Rainbow.

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

To be honest it’s about my journey through life and relationships to find happiness. Searching if true love exists and if I was able to find it for myself.
Showing how awkward and miserable life can be but how it might all end up in a way unexpected but positive.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

Anyone who has been through crappy relationships, anyone who has had crazy ex-partners, anyone who has not given up on the idea of love.
Open-minded, good-hearted people who like an honest story that they can relate to and can easily follow.
As my story has an LGBT aspect, naturally anybody who is open enough to understand that love has no boundaries because love is more than just words, it’s a feeling we get, the one thing we yearn for, and something that we often hoped to find even when we have to kiss many frogs

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

I will be honest here, I am not the biggest reader , I have read a few selected books in my life. The reason I wrote is not because I understand or because I might be the best person to express myself, it was because I felt the need to share awareness of how much we need love. Awareness about sexuality and no matter if we are conventional or different we all , want to be loved by a person that will treat us right

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

I am not one to give you any guidance, I follow my heart, my heart told me I needed to put this down and share and so I did. I think if you have something to share and you are open enough to do so, do it!
I did not write to make loads of money, honestly, it was just an accomplishment for myself. The lovely lady Diana who helped me edit the book told me she thinks that my story will help many people identify.
So if you feel it, do it

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

At the moment my information is on Amazon. I am working on a website, but with concentrating on the book, I have not managed to dedicate all the time I need to it.
DIY- Fairytale.com
I will try to get on that in the next year more, but I tried to focus on finishing this project first
