About the Author

Santhosh Shekar has been a Knowledge Management practitioner for over 20+ years. During this professional journey of more than two decades, he has worked in various industries like Information Technology, Business/Knowledge Process Outsource, Finance, Insurance, Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Government, Media, Oil and Gas, etc. At present, he works as a KM Architect for an Oil and Gas Company, Oman and also advises individuals/Organizations on ISO 30401 KM standards.

He is also the second person to be accredited with ISO 30401 Auditor Certification. Santhosh holds the authority to certify organizations and individuals on the basis of ISO 30401 Knowledge Management requirements. He has also been certified as the Innovation Practitioner and Leadership Fellow from the UK-based Innovation and Knowledge Exchange; and certified Knowledge Manager from Knowledge Management Institute, US.

Santhosh has been a key contributor to the field of knowledge management. He has been actively and passionately involved in developing KM Strategy, Solutions, Systems, Processes, Frameworks, Tools and Models for teams and enterprises. All such milestones have equipped him with fulfilling and enriching experience along with the addition of practical insights to his treasure trove of knowledge. This has helped him in achieving breakthroughs from the barriers of organizational structures, social structures, psychological barriers, technological barriers and knowledge visibility barriers.

His current mission is to make KM function an integral part of every organization globally and facilitate the adaptation of KM standards!

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

“Design Knowledge management System “ as the title suggests is a management self-help book for individuals and organizations to design and develop a knowledge management system to manage knowledge, which is one of the critical requirement for every organization to become resilient and agile to innovate and Sustain the new world of order

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

If Somebody novice to the Knowledge management, it is for them

If somebody is new to Knowledge Management standards, It is for them !

If somebody is threading the path of Digital Transformation, and Innovation, it is for them !!

If somebody is looking to increase capability and competency in the organization, it is for them !!

If somebody already has KM in the organization, if they need to prepare for an audit, it is for them !!

If somebody from management want to benchmark exiting KM in their organization, it is for them !!

If somebody does not believe in KM standard and want to do KM, it is for them!!

How can one Man change the course of the history of Humanity, One thought that changed the History of generations to come!  How his vision liberated India by unifying such a diverse population (different caste, creed, religion, customs, rituals, practices, languages, etc ) !! It’s inspiring !!

The Alchemist – by Paul Coelho

The wonderful story about the boy how his passion, perseverance, practice, belief gave him a new purpose, new experiences in life, and ultimately his vision fulfilled !! The path matters not the destination.  

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

If you want to write, then learn to read, enjoy reading, be passionate about reading.

If you want to write, just sit and write, write, write and write. Do not edit, do not be critical, do not stop the thought flow.
