About the Author

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

My book is a collection of seven short inspirational African stories for children. It’s an admixture of traditional and modern stories which will captivate any child in any part of the world.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

The book is divided into two sections: the first section is for children aged 4-7 while the second section is for children aged 8-11. So, the storybook is targetted at the aforementioned age brackets.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

I love Elechi Amadi, Chinua Achebe and John Donne. Their writings connect to me emotionally.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

They should be authentic in the way they create stories. Also, they should understand that a children’s book author writes for an audience of two–the child and, in most cases, the mother.
Understanding the narrative needs of these two demographics always help in crafting authentic and resonant stories.
