Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

Never Play God is a story that blends theological questions with Science fiction. When Elliot Thompson of the U.S. special forces loses his wife in a tragic accident, he loses his faith and turns to science for a solution. He makes a deal to have his wife cloned at an underground cloning facility headed by one of the nation’s most notorious criminals, Fang. After Fang double-crosses Elliot his world is hurled into further dismay. The story is filled with action, adventure, romance, and a twist that you definitely don’t want to miss!

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

I think those who enjoy science fiction would find this book interesting. This book is also for anyone who likes to read graphic novels and comic books. This story was directed towards Christian readers who may be looking for clean entertainment, and young adult readers; but anyone could enjoy it.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

This is an extremely difficult question! lol Although I tried I could not give the name of just one author. Here is a quick list of some of the names of authors and the works which inspired me to become a writer. Phillip K. Dick “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”, Aldous Huxley “Brave New World”, H. G. Wells “The War of the Worlds”, and “The Time Machine”, Ernest Cline “Ready Player One”, The Wachowskis brothers “Matrix” (Screenplay) and finally James Cameron’s “Terminator” (Screenplay)

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

The guidance I would offer to someone new looking to enhance their writing would be to write about something you’re passionate about, something that is true to you. When you write from the heart it’s easier to be unique and original; you’ll also find that the words for your book just seem to fall in place a lot easier. Another piece of advice that was a game-changer for me was learning how to outline my story. Having an outline for your story can help keep you on track and save you time. Before I learned to properly outline my stories I would spend weeks on my writing not really going anywhere, until stumbled upon a book entitled “Save the cat writes a novel” by Jessica Brody. Some writers (Discovery writers) seem to be able to write without ceasing, and others are (Plotters) like me; whichever one you may be understanding which type of writer you are early on in your journey will greatly enhance your writing.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

Readers can find out more about me and other stories I’ve written over at my website bryanjabouin.online and they can send me an email anytime at bryanjabouin@gmail.com
