About the Book
From fear to joy: one father’s tale of a dream that came true.
All that Anwar wanted was to get a baby with his wife. A boy, a girl, it didn’t
matter, he just wanted to hold his newborn after they’ve been trying and failing for so long. He dreamed of the day when his heart would sing with joy while their baby was giggling in his arms. Or crying, that would be fine, too, babies cry. As long as the baby was there, everything would be fine, and better than fine.
But the baby wasn’t coming.
And then she was. His wife told him that she was pregnant.
And the fear and anxiety came.
After so many issues he had experienced in the past – issues that were nobody’s fault, and yet left him heartbroken every time – should he even dare to hope?
Was there really a hope that everything would be all right this time, that this precious little being wasn’t going to become one of the lost ones?
Was there going to be a miracle for him and his wife?
The miracle arrived in February, her name is Harper, and this is the story of
the 10 months of fear and anxiety that turned to joy, and proved, beyond any doubt, that miracles do happen, and that childbirth is a thing of beauty and wonder from beginning to end.
Read Anwar’s heartwarming tale, a true tale, and dare to hope. Dare to believe.
Miracles do happen.
And one of their names is Harper.
What’s the name of your miracle going to be?

About the Author
Anwar Hardin is an entrepreneur, licensed massage therapist, certified medical biller and author who was born in New Jersey, raised in Detroit and now lives in Michigan. He currently runs a family-owned business that offers massages for relaxation and as a therapy for those involved in automobile accidents. He is happily married and lives with his wife and their three children.
Anwar began to find an interest in writing when he was in high school and initially started a course in creative writing and journalism at university. But 2 years into his course, he decided to change direction and moved to the Healing Arts Massage School, to learn the practice of massage as a therapy.
But the desire to write never left him and once Anwar was firmly established in his business, he decided to take up the pen once more, writing his first short book. Winter Pink is a collection of thoughts and fears a father has as he is told his wife is pregnant and the journey he experiences as he waits for his daughter to be born.
In his free time, Anwar is a big TV fan and watches a wide range of shows. He loves Japanese anime, taking his kids out to the movies, dining out and romantic date nights with his wife. He grabs the chance to travel whenever he can and if there is an adrenalin rush to be found then Anwar will find it. In the past he has been zip lining and hot air ballooning, but he is just as happy on a beautiful sandy beach.
For now, Anwar is busy working on his second book and an autobiography he hopes to complete soon. It is his intention to write more books and carry on his love of writing for as long as possible.
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
In short, my book is my own experience of a previous miscarriage/loss of my child and Me and my wife was bless to get pregnant again. So it’s the entire process in my head from Month 1 to Month 10. Fears and Hope’s as well as Joy.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
I feel as if any parent or expecting parent both Mom and Dad could relate to my book. My book discusses the fears and anxieties from the experience of a loss of an expecting child and the fears of just expecting. But also the hope and happiness from the childbearing and birthing experience. Each chapter represents a month in the pregnancy and my thought process during the time as well as having this experience during a pandemic. So there is a happy ending and can be for others as well.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors to choose from, which book and author would you suggest to be your favourite and why?
The book would be The Power of Thinking without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell if you as a reader never read this one I would suggest you do: what we have here is a book that allows you to look deep within your own mind and bring out thoughts in ways you never have before. I am a firm believer in you are never too old or too young to learn something new, And I discovered an intuitive approach to thinking from this read.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new to the writing work, or who was trying to enhance their craft or business?
I would suggest that you take the time to build your name and promote yourself just as much time you will with writing. Writing is a therapy for me so when I write it takes me outside of everything that is going on around me and allows my mind to have peace. But when I am done I would like for someone to read my work and that only will happen with promoting your self and your work. This takes time a lot of it. An I am just getting started myself. So I would suggest really having a plan on how you intend on getting your work out to the people so that you can be appreciated by others.
