This Could Be Paradise: The Undertow: Mena Stone grew up knowing the conventional life wasn’t for her – her first love was playing music, and that’s how she met her first boyfriend, turned husband. However, growing up meant going to college, landing a corporate job, and buying a house in the suburbs. As time passes on, she becomes more unsettled and conflicted, and her marriage unravels as a result. Follow Mena on her journey as she breaks free from the tether of her old life and finds music as a means of self-discovery and healing.

About the Author
A southerner by birth and engineer by trade, M.C. Terriche draws inspiration from her personal and professional endeavors, along with experiences shared by those closest to her. In her debut novella series, M.C. Terriche invites the reader to explore disappointment and cognitive dissonance through the lens of a character determined to find their path to inner peace and fulfillment.
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book, This Could Be Paradise: The Undertow, What is it about?
This book focuses on relationships, but also on inner peace and fulfillment. When you meet the main character, she is not in a good place in her personal life, and she is struggling with the decision to stay or leave. This novella series follows her on her journey to finding happiness, and, one day, finding her paradise.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, This Could Be Paradise: The Undertow, is it directed at any particular market?
This series will resonate with those who struggle in relationships, and long for happiness and fulfillment. It will also resonate with those who are creative, but chose different paths in life for security and financial stability.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
My favorite novel is Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy, who also happens to be my favorite author. Her writing is strikingly beautiful, and I am instantly transported to that time and space whenever I pick up her novel.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
Write as often as possible. I will use writer prompts or a pair of Writer Dice I purchased to write small snippets. I find that I can often tie these shorter stories back to my larger works.
