The Boy, the Fawn, and the Dreamcatcher

About the Book

In the midst of fall, a small Aracon tribe dwelt in a forest where tall skinny trees grew. In the tribe, lived a young boy named Nimkii. Nimkii loved to dream about many things.

In the forest, lived a herd of white-tailed deer. There, lived a young fawn who also loved to dream.
How will these dreamers meet? What do they dream about? Everything lies in between the beads of the dreamcatcher.

With Emmanuel Aradillas’s symbolical and expressive text and beautiful illustrations by @Oliver_Artwork, here is The Boy, the Fawn, and the Dreamcatcher: a wonderful yet bold tale of the brave that’ll teach you about patience, courage, and kindness through the bonds between human and nature. Perfect for readers young and old, The Boy, the Fawn, and the Dreamcatcher proves that repetition is the true master of learning.

About the Author

Banker, realtor, pawnbroker, waiter, student. These are all hats that Emmanuel Aradillas has worn, and now he can add author to the list. Although he spends most of his time being an amazing father to a one-year-old Siberian husky/terrier mix, Emmanuel would often think of his next journey to the forest and wonder what he will encounter next. Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

Absolutely! The Boy, The Fawn, and the Dreamcatcher is my first story to ever write and publish. It’s about the true effort of patience, courage, and kindness through both a human’s and nature’s perspective. This story follows a boy and a fawn who both dream of being the bravest one through random acts of kindness. But the real story lies between how the two help each other achieve their dreams with the help of a dreamcatcher.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

This children’s book is made for every type of household big and small. I’ve included enough pictures to keep anyone young engaged, but enough text to provide a symbolic story for everyone to enjoy.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

Funny enough, most of the books I’ve read in my life were war novels or had some sort of focus towards a conflict. I have read books based on the Vietnam War, World War II, and even some sci-fi stories. Most of these genres had a great amount of symbolism based on its setting, and I took that to create a more family-friendly approach of how to deal with conflict.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

As a first time writer, I would start writing ideas whenever they come to mind. Whether it’s at home, at school, at work, carry a notepad or sticky notes and write down any ideas and stories or even plots. I like to call the notepad the “Idea Parking lot”. It creates a physical space for any ideas that you don’t want to forget about later on and revisit the parking lot to “test drive” the idea. Then whenever you get home do some research to make sure no one else thought about this idea. If someone did, you can either throw it away or find a way to make it better, but make sure to make it YOURS. Avoid plagiarism at all costs. Most importantly just have fun with it.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

Absolutely, I have a rough website coming out soon, and that’s where you can also find a link to my book, a little about me, and how to get a hold of me.
