About the Author
As a published teen author, Sohan Chunduru has been honing his writing craft since he was five years old. In kindergarten, Chunduru won a young author competition and, from that day forward, has fallen more in love with writing. When Chunduru was bullied in school for speech impairment, instead of wilting under the pressure, Chunduru found solace in creating worlds of his own and studying cultures worldwide. Now, he uses his captivating writing style to create endearing children’s books that highlight the diversity surrounding us.
His first two books, Ni Hao, China! and Shalom Israel,
combine beautiful illustrations and lyrical rhyme schemes to make cultural awareness fun, educational, and engaging for children of all ages. When not writing, Chunduru can be found discussing politics and economics with his friends, participating in Model UN conferences, and serving the homeless. As a young philanthropist, Chunduru hopes that his children’s books will help the next generation learn the importance of celebrating our unique differences regardless of race, gender, religion, disability, or national origin.
