Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, I Am Sheffrou: An Alien Love Story, is it directed at any particular market?
Readers of Sci-fi romance and Sci-fi time travel, ages 25 to 55, are mostly women.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
Dawn by Octavia Butler. A story about a woman trapped by aliens who must cooperate with them to survive. Strangely similar to my novel.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. A young woman must learn to use her power of light against the darkness to save her world. Inspiring.
The expanse series by James S. A. Corey. In a distant future where planets in our solar system have been colonized, humans face an alien threat like they have never encountered and who can destroy Earth. Fantastic story. Love the worldbuilding and the concept of the alien.
The Fifth Season by N. K. Jemisin. Great series of books about a totally different world. The concept is unique and captivating.
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff. On a planet that never knows true night because of their three suns, a girl must go to a school of assassins to avenge her parents’ death. Interesting reminds of Harry Potter with blood and gore.
Avatar. The movie. Although not a book, I like the trope of the open-minded young man who sees the aliens with his heart and falls for the young alien female. Great and fabulous worldbuilding.
