About the Book
After a long period of peace, the sorcerer Radamant, in the service of the Checkrops, the three eternal demons, assassinated the emperor of Heidal, who ruled the largest realm in the world and stole the Primeval Flame.
The Checkrops descended from the God of Darkness, harnessed the source of that magical power, which the God of Light had used in ancient times to create the souls of humanity, and unleashed the plague of the undead. Now, the dead rise from their graves to hunt the living and feed on their souls. The world is in chaos as the Primeval Flame seems to be dying out. Will the breath of life that animates humanity die out with it?
At this very moment, an undead man rises, marked by a curse of rare cruelty and boundless power. He remembers nothing of his former life except his name, Rhys, which means “Chosen one” in the ancient language of the gods. The three Keras, the goddesses who control the fate of humanity, summon him to them, but not even they can decipher the secret of his curse. An ancient prophecy says that one day, an undead, the most wretched creature on earth, will decide the fate of the world.
But is Rhys this undead? And what fate will he choose for himself and the world?
About the Author
I’d rather not talk about myself—there are so many more interesting lives to explore on social media. Who I am is not important; it is what I write that matters. Instead of focusing on me, close your eyes and listen. Let my voice, emerging from my inner darkness, connect with yours through the stories of my characters. Join us on a journey that through the deepest darkness can lead to the brightest light.
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
This novel is not easy to categorize. Its structure follows that of a traditional epic fantasy, but with various dark and dystopian elements. More than conventional heroes, the two protagonists, Rhys and Jude, are anti-heroes. Although they perform courageous deeds and face formidable enemies, their actions are often driven by external forces and circumstances rather than personal initiative.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
Who loves epic and adventurous fantasy or dark fantasy. Who has a passion for universes and complex lore like that of Dark souls to which the book is inspired.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
Joe Abercrombie, Brandon Sanderson, G. Martin, Holly Black, Steve Erickson.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
You can’t be a writer if you don’t believe in yourself. But you must also be aware that there is much to learn in this profession, and therefore you must also have humility.
