Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

It’s a modern-day and medieval mix involving an ancient terror traveling through time in search of a sacred treasure. As with most any fantasy story, an unlikely group of heroes band together to defeat the big baddie. What sets my story apart from others is a multiversal twist. I think any fan of the Many Worlds Theory would easily vibe with “Protectors Of The Light Crown.”

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

We’re calling it sci-fi/fantasy. Sci-fi for the science stuff involved and fantasy for basically everything else. Before, I mentioned how similar my book is with others in the genre. Well, aside from the alternate reality element, another feature makes my book special. My ensemble cast is very diverse, which you don’t see in fantasy, and never did. Inclusion is important to me. As an agent of change, hopefully I can leave some kind of mark saying everyone is welcome in the world of fantasy. Fingers crossed on that!

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

Alexander Dumas left a permanent impression on me in my 20’s. His storytelling, his characters, his direct style taught me important things about writing. Dare I call his work perfection? To me, he came very close.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

Let your mind sail! For some, writing is a talent. They are born with it. For others, it’s a skill. Something to be practiced and cultivated. The lucky few are able to sharpen their talents, being both innately gifted as well as skilled. Find out which one you are and run with it. Don’t hold back. Brainstorm ideas and get them on paper. Something magical will happen. We are put on this Earth to create. Not everyone should write. Perhaps one’s creativity manifests in other ways. But there’s only one method of finding out. Get to work today and give it all you’ve got.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

I am @AspryWrites on social media and my website is aspryjones.com. Luckily, a simple Google search for my name will tell you everything.
