About the Book
In the city of Endless Night the detective eternally hunts the murderer. Only laughter can resolve the situation and bring you joy. These are the secrets of the abyss. This is a
place no one has been to before it is the essence of all the books ever written. They have all been striving to produce the essence of this thing we call soul but in Dada Nihilism Too I have used a computer to get inside the nothing itself and reveal its secrets to the world.
About the Author
I am an Artist that has been working on the underground for 30 years. I spent some time travelling but my interest is in soul and the meaning of life. I haven’t really found it for example in Art Galleries and films so I had to create it myself.
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
The Book is a book of philosophy that posits the power of superhuman laughter over the abyss. The absurd is when we encounter meaninglessness in the world but desperately need meaning. The way out of the absurd was said to be a rebellious attitude to it but in my book of philosophy I find that to laugh at it is a way of reconciling the contradiction. The detective is forever hunting the murderer in the city of Endless Night but laughter alone brings joy.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
My book is for everyone. It’s for anyone who has ever thought what on earth is this life all about. In the book I answer that question. It’s about the detective who looks for the murderer in the city of Endless Night but laughter is a way to bring it back and find joy in the meaninglessness of it all.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
I’m still in love with Emily Bronte. I fell in love with her when I was 16 and now 35 years down the line she still inspires me.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
I would say forget creative writing class and instead just read read read to learn how to write. Do it your own way and when a publisher asks for three chapters and a synopsis send then three chapters and a synopsis.
Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?
I don’t have a website at the moment but you can find a blog on me at itsliquid.com if you type in Lucas Shakespere. I also do some work as a photographer here.
