About the Book
The Last Whisper: In the sweltering heat of Louisiana, Technical Sergeant Will Edwards lives by the rules—disciplined, grounded, and unbreakable.
Then she appears.
Jessica is unlike anyone he’s ever known—radiant, unpredictable, impossible to forget. What starts as a spark quickly blazes into something deeper: late nights wrapped in laughter, stolen moments beneath the stars, touches that linger, and silences that say everything. She doesn’t just break through his armor—she redefines everything he thought he knew about love.
And just when their connection burns brightest, the world shifts.
A war. A deployment. A moment that fractures everything.
In its aftermath, Will is no longer the man he once was. He’s haunted by memories he can’t piece together—and by a presence he feels but can’t explain. Through pain, confusion, and recovery, one truth keeps him anchored: her.
But nothing is as it seems.
The Last Whisper is a hypnotic tale of passion and mystery, a story that blurs the line between love and illusion, memory and reality. With echoes of The Notebook and the haunting pull of Ghost, this emotionally charged journey asks the ultimate question: Does true love last forever?

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book, The Last Whisper, What is it about?
The Last Whisper is an unforgettable, heart-stirring romance about a love so powerful it defies distance, duty, and time itself. Set against the disciplined world of the U.S. Air Force, it tells the story of Technical Sergeant Will Edwards—a man defined by courage, loyalty, and restraint—whose carefully ordered life is transformed the moment he meets Senior Airman Jessica, a woman whose warmth and spirit awaken a part of him he never knew was missing.
What begins as a simple meeting between two dedicated Airmen soon becomes a sweeping love story filled with passion, sacrifice, and impossible choices. Their connection is electric—instant yet eternal—pulling them together in moments that feel fated. But their world is one of strict rules and long separations, where love must often survive on letters, memories, and the whisper of a promise made under starlit skies.
This is a romance that celebrates every heartbeat of longing—the anticipation before deployment, the ache of waiting, the joy of reunion, and the realization that some souls are simply meant to find each other. Through every challenge, Will and Jessica’s love becomes a sanctuary, proof that even in a world built on duty, the heart still chooses its own command.
The Last Whisper isn’t just a military romance—it’s a story of devotion that burns brighter than distance and endures through silence. It captures the kind of love women dream about: passionate yet pure, strong yet vulnerable, unshakable even when the world demands surrender.
Every page is a blend of tenderness and fire, of whispered vows and unspoken yearning. It’s a novel for anyone who believes that true love isn’t found—it’s fought for, held onto, and remembered forever.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, The Last Whisper, is it directed at any particular market?
The Last Whisper will appeal to readers who are drawn to emotionally authentic stories about love, duty, and the quiet courage of service. While the book is grounded in the world of the U.S. Air Force, its heart lies in the universal human experience—the need to connect, to endure, and to find meaning even when distance and circumstance test the limits of love.
Readers with a military background will immediately recognize the realism woven throughout—the structure of Security Forces life, the weight of deployment, and the emotional resilience required of those who serve. For veterans, active-duty members, and military families, the novel offers both representation and reflection, capturing the honor and cost of service in ways that are deeply personal and true.
At the same time, the story reaches far beyond military fiction. It will resonate with fans of character-driven romantic drama—readers who appreciate the sincerity of authors like Nicholas Sparks or Kristin Hannah, where love is not a fantasy but a test of strength and faith. Will and Jessica’s journey reflects the complexity of real relationships: the balance between independence and vulnerability, ambition and affection, silence and trust.
The novel also speaks to readers of women’s fiction and contemporary emotional realism, offering a nuanced portrait of a strong, intelligent woman whose love doesn’t diminish her purpose—it deepens it. The cinematic tone and lyrical writing style invite readers who enjoy heartfelt storytelling with depth, atmosphere, and introspection.
Ultimately, The Last Whisper is for anyone who has ever loved across distance, waited in uncertainty, or discovered that the most enduring connections often live in silence. It transcends genre boundaries because its themes—sacrifice, longing, and resilience—belong to everyone. Whether read for its military accuracy, emotional depth, or timeless portrayal of love under pressure, this novel invites every reader to listen for the whisper that reminds us why we keep believing in one another.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
I’ve always been drawn to authors who write from the heart—those who understand that love stories are not just about attraction, but about connection, sacrifice, and the invisible threads that bind two souls together. Among them, Nicholas Sparks stands at the top of my list. His novels—The Notebook, Dear John, Message in a Bottle—capture the kind of emotion that lingers long after the final page. He writes of love that is tested by time, separation, and circumstance, yet somehow survives with dignity and grace. That balance of beauty and heartbreak is something I deeply admire and strive to reflect in The Last Whisper.
I also have tremendous respect for Jojo Moyes, whose storytelling in Me Before You reveals how love can transform even the most guarded hearts. Her ability to blend laughter, longing, and loss into a single narrative thread reminds me that the best romances aren’t perfect—they’re real. She understands that love’s truest power lies in its ability to change us.
Kristin Hannah is another inspiration. In books like The Nightingale and The Great Alone, she captures strength through vulnerability and proves that love is often the quiet force that helps us survive the impossible. Her female characters are layered, resilient, and unforgettable—qualities I wanted to bring to Jessica in my own novel.
Beyond contemporary romance, I’ve also been moved by timeless writers like Emily Brontë and Jane Austen, whose stories taught me that love can be both defiant and redemptive. From the windswept passion of Wuthering Heights to the poised yearning of Pride and Prejudice, their work reminds us that romance is not just a genre—it’s a reflection of the human spirit.
These authors all share a common truth: they write about love that endures, challenges, and transforms. That’s what I want my readers to feel when they open The Last Whisper—that love, in all its fragile glory, is still the most powerful story we can ever tell.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
Writing is both an art and an act of courage. My greatest advice to anyone beginning their journey—or striving to grow—is this: write from your heart, not from the market. Trends fade, genres shift, but honesty in storytelling never goes out of style. The stories that move readers the deepest are the ones that come from truth—your truth.
When I wrote The Last Whisper, I didn’t think about formulas or what would sell. I thought about how love feels when it hurts, how silence sounds when someone you care for is miles away, and how the smallest gesture—a glance, a touch, a whisper—can carry an entire universe of emotion. That’s where good writing begins: in feeling something so strongly you have no choice but to put it into words.
To new writers, I’d say: fall in love with your characters. Let them live and breathe in your mind until their voices guide your hand. Don’t rush the process. Great writing often comes from stillness, from listening to what your story wants to say rather than forcing it to speak.
And above all, be patient with yourself. Writing isn’t a race—it’s a relationship between you and the page. Some days the words will pour out like rain; other days they’ll resist you. Both are part of the journey. Trust that even in the quiet moments, you’re still becoming the writer you’re meant to be.
Read authors who stir your soul. Study how they make you feel, not just what they say. And never lose your sense of wonder—because that’s where creativity lives.
Writing is a gift, but it’s also a calling. If your heart tells you to write, listen. The world doesn’t need another perfect book—it needs your voice, your truth, your passion. And if you keep writing from that place, your words will find their way to the hearts that need them most.

Qn 6: What was your inspiration for writing The Last Whisper?
The inspiration for The Last Whisper came from a deep fascination with the fragility of love when tested by time, distance, and destiny. I wanted to explore the idea that even in life’s quietest moments — the pauses between heartbreak and healing — love can still whisper to us and pull us back to who we are meant to be with. My experiences meeting extraordinary people during my time in the U.S. Air Force, and witnessing love stories unfold across miles and years, gave me a front-row seat to the endurance of human connection. That sense of timeless devotion became the heartbeat of The Last Whisper.
Qn 7: What was the most challenging section to write in The Last Whisper, and what was the most rewarding?
The most challenging part was capturing the emotional vulnerability of the main characters without making their pain overwhelming. I wanted readers to feel their heartbreak but also to believe in their strength — to see how love could rebuild what life had broken.
Qn 8: What is your elevator pitch to sell your book in a few lines?
The Last Whisper is an unforgettable love story about two souls separated by circumstance but bound by fate. It’s about loss, longing, and the one person you can never truly forget — even when life forces you apart. Passionate, emotional, and deeply human, it’s a story that asks: what if your heart never stopped whispering their name?
Qn 9: We have to ask… any elements of truth in your story from your past in the U.S. Air Force?
There are certainly shades of truth woven into the story. While the plot itself is fictional, many of the emotions — the separations, the longing, the uncertainty — were inspired by real experiences and people I encountered during my years of service. The Air Force teaches resilience, loyalty, and sacrifice, and those qualities naturally found their way into the characters and relationships in The Last Whisper. It’s fiction with a heartbeat that feels real.
Qn 10: What will you be working on next?
I’m already outlining my next romance novel — one that explores love after loss and the courage it takes to open your heart again. It will carry the same emotional depth as The Last Whisper, but with a new setting and characters facing different challenges.
