About the Book
Untamed Men
In Untamed Men, poet Ruel Fordyce delivers a powerful and unflinching collection that grapples with the weight of justice, corruption, and redemption in a world tilted toward the powerful. With the lyrical prowess of modern-day spoken word, these poems cut deep into the heart of systemic failures, exposing the brokenness in politics, religion, and entertainment—where unchecked power reigns and the vulnerable are often left unheard.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Rudy Francisco, this collection invites readers to confront the grim reality of high-profile scandals, abuse, and the culture of enablers that allows immorality to thrive. From the courtroom to the media, from the silencing of victims to the glorification of fame and wealth, these poems weave together stories of those who have been oppressed, the systems that protect the powerful, and the urgent need for reform.
But amidst the sorrow, Untamed Men offers a glimmer of hope—a return to spiritual values, integrity, and collective accountability. Through evocative imagery and stirring metaphor, these poems remind us that, even in a world that seems to be unravelling, humanity still holds the power to rebuild. This is not just a call for justice but a call for healing, for personal and societal redemption, and for the reclamation of moral and spiritual principles.
For readers seeking both justice and transformation, Untamed Men is a compelling and essential journey—one that asks us to walk a new path, where truth, compassion, and integrity light the way.

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book, Untamed Men, What is it about?
“Untamed Men” is about engendering social transformation. Sometimes we choose to remain silent, thinking that the abuser is too powerful to be brought to justice or worse, that the victim will somehow find a way of escape. “Untamed Men” though written in the form of poetry takes a unique approach to speaking out to the abuse and the neglect by those in authority to address it. “Untamed Men” is a clarion call to everyone to be better people across the globe and help change the narrative that so called powerful people are not held accountable for their crimes committed. In light of the current news surrounding a certain music industry mogul and the fear of Hollywood stars who might be linked with parties that may have facilitated sexual abuse to a host of victims, “Untamed Men” speaks to it and offers hope that we can engender a new path.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, Untamed Men, is it directed at any particular market?
Untamed Men will appeal to:

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
1. Bible – Always good to have a spiritual foundation and guidance towards finding one’s purpose in life 2. Think Big by Ben Carson – Opening your mind to new possibilities and exploring them 3. Good to Great by James Collins – The mindset of not settling for mediocrity but exploring what it means to be great. There are many others like Atomic Habits, Think and Grow Rich, 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do and a host of others but if I had to choose my top 3 the ones list above are them.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
To new authors: 1. Read other works within the genre that you’ll like to write in. 2. Identify one or two writers whose style you like that might influence your style. 3. Don’t copy someone else’s style, be unique but use techniques from their writings to enhance yours. 4. Keep on writing as this is the only to master your craft. 5. Be open to criticism. Some of the best writers were criticized but harnessed their energies to be better.
