About the Author

Sheena Myles can be equated to gumbo with a shot of Tabasco. She collects all of her experiences and together they make a dish that she serves to everyone that she meets. Sheena leaves you feeling full and confident.

From L.A. to Pittsburgh she has embraced women and men in their respective environments for the betterment of their lives, if only for a moment.
Sheena was aloof of her influence until big names began reaching out to her for features and gigs.

In 2020 she was diagnosed with breast, uterine, and cervical cancer all within the same week. In order to receive treatment, she drove 3hrs, sometimes twice a week, alone. Like a Queen, she put her crown in her back pocket in case someone forgot. Many times, she was that someone. Being true to herself as with everything she does, she conquered it.

She is a survivor and she challenges everyone to give survival a chance.
Live to tell the story.

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book, Crumbs Filled Her Belly, What is it about?

Crumbs Filled Her Belly is a book of poetry that journeys from table to table. In life, we are forced to feed on whatever comes our way. Our survival and mental status, our humanity and our capacity to love all survive off of what we ingest daily. This book encourages and speaks from the emotional places of only being able to dine and fill up on a dish full of crumbs.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, Crumbs Filled Her Belly, is it directed at any particular market?

This book is for anyone that has ever loved and lost. Crumbs is for the person that enters a room and sits in a corner facing outward. This reader observes conversations and creates a story based on nothing more than the body language of those involved. Readers of Crumbs are both tired of being weak and being strong.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

My favourite book is one that I read as a child called, “The Doll in the Garden.” Even as an adult the story makes me cry. This children’s book tells the story of a little girl who discovers a doll that belonged to the daughter of the previous owners of her new home. The daughter died of consumption, but the doll was her comforter.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

Push what you live through the pages. Cry as you write. Laugh as you write. Be afraid, as you write. Be honest, even as you write.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?
