About the Author
Javier Sanz is your one-stop shop for books that are as fun as they are useful. We love everything from STEM books or career guides to Microsoft Excel, and we’re all about sharing that love with you.
We kickstarted this whole thing with a down-to-earth guide to Microsoft Excel. Turns out, it wasn’t just for the spreadsheet warriors; it opened up a whole new world for us. So, we thought, why stop there? Now, Javier Sanz has got a little something for everyone—whether you’re a job hunter, a foodie, or a parent looking for great picture books.
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
This is the book I would’ve loved having as a teenager. Back then, I didn’t know how many different careers were out there! Now, with this book, I’m giving thousands of people every day the ability to make a more informed decision before they go to college.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
This book is perfect for teenagers who are about to make a big decision that will determine the rest of their lives. Others who have found it very useful are professionals who are looking for a career change. The fact that you have short descriptions as well as salaries is a quick way to get informed.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
Blink by Malcolm Gadwell is my favorite book because it taught me a lot about human psychology. There are so many things we do unconsciously every day, and there’s so much behind every single decision we make!
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
I found that writing on paper helps me develop my ideas better. I would stay away from the computer until I know exactly what I want to talk about.
Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?
The best way to find my books is on Amazon. “500 Careers and Salaries” is a compilation of jobs, but I have others on STEM topics like “Famous in STEM: The Greatest Physicists” or “Famous in STEM: Mathematical Masterminds”. I love those two!
