More about “The Ultimate Love”:
The Ultimate Love shares a journey through grief that teaches readers to value life. Why was this an important book to write?
The sudden death of my 25-year-old son after a 5 month battle with cancer, made me realise that life is short and in the blink of an eye, our entire world can change. Many of us go through life working and too busy to spend quality family time and by the time we realise this, it may be too late. I want people to understand that there’s more to life than material things, cherish your loved ones because they can be taken at any time.
In this book you share your grief but you also help readers understand how to continue after a loss. What were some ideas you wanted to share with readers?
Each person’s grief is unique and we all mourn differently. There are various stages of grief and each of us can go through different stages at different times. There’s no fast rule that you must be in the first stage of grief example denial. You can start with anger, bargaining, or even acceptance. We must also remember that not everyone will go through all the stages. Coping with the loss of a loved one is one of life’s biggest challenges and the pain of grieve can disrupt your physical, emotional, and spiritual being.
What do you hope the one thing readers take away from your book?
Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something that is important to you. Everyone grieves differently, there is no time limit to grieve and each person goes through the phases in their own way. With time, the sadness eases, you’ll be able to feel happiness and joy along with your grief.
Author Interview:
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
Nadeems Nadeem’s
Journey: A Heart Wrenching Story of a Loving Mother Losing Her Son to Cancer is a wonderful invitation to the honest emotional struggle involved in witnessing someone you love slip away. I truly respect Anniruth for encouraging others to be assertive about getting the proper healthcare they or their loved ones need. Raw emotion pours from the pages and I can see this book being a therapeutic tool especially for parents who have lost children. I can also see how those with terminal illnesses could benefit from reading or having this book read to them to learn how to adopt Nadeem’s positive attitude and outlook.
The ultimate love
The Ultimate Love by Sherine Anniruth is a nonfiction book about coping with grief especially after the loss of a child. Sherine Anniruth wrote The Ultimate Love to share her personal struggle with grief after the death of her son. This statement in the introduction struck me: “I’m a bereaved parent who wishes there was a term like orphan or widow to describe my status. Some say there is no such title because the death of a child is too awful to put into words.” It had never crossed my mind that there was no particular term for bereaved parents. She states that the book was written to share in the reader’s grief and provide both understanding and tools to guide readers through the tunnel.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
The books are targeted at adult readers, especially those who are battling an illness and those that have lost a loved one.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
My favourite book is The Long Walk To Freedom
I love the determination Nelson Mandela had to make this world a better place for us all. His imprisonment, torture, and persecution did not hinder his determination. It is emotive and compelling and ultimately triumphant.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
Never give up on your ambition to become an author. It’s a struggle in the beginning especially if you are writing an autobiography or memoir. If you are determined to write, you will achieve your goal, continue to persevere
Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

I read both books but Sherine Anniruth and I highly recommend it not only to parents who are grieving but to everyone who wants to understand exactly how the loss of a loved one impacts the lives of those left behind. I admire the courage and strength of the author Sherine Anniruth because when you read her books you can feel the pain that she is experiencing. She makes you feel as if you were a part of the story and her pain becomes yours. Nothing touches the human soul more than pure, unconditional love, a mother’s love.
It’s one thing to nurse a patient that you are not related to….and totally a whole different story when you have to see a loved one, especially your child battle a terminal illness followed by death….nadeem was my cousin and sherine my aunt…one of the bravest, selfless people in my life I’ll ever have the privilege of knowing. Her strength during nadeems illness is admirable…by far one of the most remarkable women I’ve met…
