Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
Brizzley Bear Loves Poetry follows an adorable educator in his alabaster cobblestone school house. Brizzley teaches children about metaphors, similes, and rhymes. The book is filled with fun activities including fill in spaces for rhyming words, and a poster page for a Brizzley poem. Children are even directed to build a poetry treasure chest to store all of the great poems they write along the way!
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
This book is designed for kids ages 4 – 8. Kids love rhyming and this book provides clear examples on how to rhyme with easy words. This book is also designed for educators who teach poetry in their classes. The treasure chest is easy to duplicate and the poster poem can be displayed in classrooms. This work is also appropriate for homeschooling and remote learning.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
I love satirical literature and favor Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughter House Five. Vonnegut uses satire to discuss serious issues such as war, oppression, and redemption.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
Practice, practice, practice! It is best to continue to develop professionally by taking courses and developing your craft. Also, writers can develop blogs that afford them the opportunity to be themselves and express their opinions on writing in their genre.
Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?
Readers can find out more about me and my publications at my website: http://www.louisamastro.com. I am also the author of the Cycle Pups book series for children. Books, EBOOKS, artwork, guided meditations, and other resources can be found at the site. Thank you.
