I am a mother of 4 children 2 boys and 2 girls ages ranging from 4-17. I work at a day-care in Lincoln Nebraska where I take care children starting as young as 6 weeks old on up to 3years old. So you can see where much of my inspiration for my stories comes from.
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
Two best friends that want to build a snowman but don’t know how. The reader can come along on their journey as they learn about what shape to make the snowman, the sizes, of the snowballs, and learn basic counting skills along the way.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
It is a children’s book for ages 3-5.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
Growing up I always loved Charlottes Web by E. B. White because of the way it taught children about the circle of life. As well as the Laura Ingalls Wilder series. Her stories just really came to life for me, and I love the detail that she gave in all of her books. It really showed you the reader what life was like back in the era she lived in. Now days, I read so many different books that it is hard to decide, but I read a lot of Danielle Steel because I really love her writing style.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
Don’t Give up on your craft. Remember the dream you have. There will be set backs, but remember that you are not alone, we all go through them from time to time.
