About the Author

My name is Rebecca Drimmel and I’m a songbook author from Roseville, Minnesota. My passion is composing music and through writing music, I enjoy making beginner’s songbooks and sharing my creativity with others through my music books. I want to bring others joy through my music. I want to share my gift with the world. Some of my interests include music composing, anything that has to do with creativity and anything that has to with music.

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

My book is piano songbook for the beginner pianist. In this book, there are a wide variety of songs. I have holiday songs such as: Thanksgiving Feast, Red, white and blue and A Christmas Carol. Also, a waltz called The Hummingbird’s Waltz and other fun songs such as Smiley Face Boogie and Happy Hopscotch. I wanted to create a fun yet easy to play piano book that will be enjoyable for any age to play. I want to express my creativity through this piano book and share my love of music with others. In this book, I wanted to compose and create images for each song of diverse styles of music, whether it’s holiday themed or a waltz or a boogie. This book has a wide variety of styles for all ages to enjoy!

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

In this book I believe any beginner of any age would enjoy this songbook. There is a wide variety of styles that are fun and easy to play! I have been told by friends and family that have purchased the book that are of all ages say they enjoy playing the songs and enjoy the fun images that suit the title of the songs. I believe all ages that are beginners would be interested in this book.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

I would have to say Lorie Line music books because she is self published and she has built her own brand on her own. Lorie Line is also a wonderful pianist, musician and composer as well as an author. She has put her whole heart and soul into her art and cares about her audiences and really puts herself out there through her music for her audiences to experience through her art.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

The guidance I would give would be is to let your creativity be your guiding point. Let your creativity do the talking. Also, always put your heart and soul into your writing. Show your creativity through your writing that readers can experience and feel.
