Robin Coe is a prolific author & journalist and avid gardener. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a dual major in Magazine Journalism & International Political Science from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
Novel Writing: Workbook for Development of Plot, Characters, Setting, Scenes, and Chapters is an outline book to help writers get ready to write their novels. Planning a novel can make writing much easier. Also it helps the author spot potential plot holes, plan foreshadowing, and develop rounded characters.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
The Novel Writing Workbook is specifically for writers getting ready to write a novel. It was designed to help writers outline each of their characters, the book plot, settings, scenes, and chapters. It’s a comprehensive outlining tool.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
Douglas Adams is by far my favorite writer. His plot twists are uncanny. After Douglas Adam, I believe Neil Gaiman’s creativity is unparalleled.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
I would recommend new writers take the time to outline their novels before jumping into the writing process. Early in my career, I did not take the time to do this, and I would say that the books I write now are much better.
