About the Book
This book is meant to help you take negative thoughts and self-talk into positive self-talk for increasing productivity. This book is meant to do a few things:
- Help you understand and combat the negative lies that you tell yourself.
- Help you understand your brain as it relates to emotions.
- Help you understand your brain as it relates to decision making.
About the Author
Andre Spivey is the author of multiple books, fiction, non-fiction, and self-help. He is a United States Air Force veteran, serial entrepreneur, techie, husband, father, jazz musician, poet and active critical thinker. He has helped develop tech companies and professional sports organizations. He is an active supporter of those on the autism spectrum inspired by one of his three sons. He was a keynote speaker at Ignite Tampa Bay 2015, Business Observer 40 Under 40 for 2022 and has education from Morris Brown College, Cornell University, including a Master of Science in Performance and Sports Psychology from Northcentral University. I love reading, playing basketball, playing jazz piano gigs.
Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
It is inspired by a time in my life in which I lost belief in the things that I stood for. It was like I couldn’t see, so there were things that I had to tell myself to pull myself out of the rut. I started to study the brain to understand my brain and understand how I was responding to my own thoughts.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
I think that athletes, CEOs, parents anyone with serious expectations for their lives will be interested in this book.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
My favorite book right now is Team of Teams by General Stanley McCrystal.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
Slow down, do your research first into your topic, and arrange your thoughts around your research if non-fiction. Take your complex thoughts and say them as clearly and simply as possible. if writing fiction, research locations and be vivid and detailed to make the scenes come to life.
