The Bounty

About the Book

He’s introduced to a peace he has never known, a peace he has always yearned for, but which has always been out of his reach because of who and what he has made himself to be. Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

The book is about a lone bounty hunter who sets off on a personal job. All seems normal to start, and he’s focused as can be; however amidst his travels, he discovers a farmstead in need of dire help. During his stay, this farmstead not only introduces him to a new life, but also a new love. Now he has to choose between completing his bounty and continuing down this bloody path or whether to turn a new leaf.

“Emmet Hallelujah Jones never asked to be famous but has always made the best of his status as one of the top gunslingers in the West. When his latest bounty takes him down a road for personal revenge, his path intersects with circumstances that pull his heartstrings in a new direction. As the man of justice confronts an overzealous man who mistreats his family, Jones begins to search for a way to show the victims in the family the true strength of a man. But how will Emmet reveal that strength with the tarnished reputation that precedes him wherever he goes? Will Emmet ever find true peace to calm his weary soul?”

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

Classic Western lovers. An adult audience.

This book also has consistent and notable Christian undertones.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

I’m big on fantasy of all kinds. Authors like Emily Rodda, Drew Karpyshyn, and Andrezej Sapokowski are just a few to name.

But this is my studio’s first Western – a collaboration with Holly Bargo.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

Read. Then write. Then repeat.

Whether on a small cycle or on a larger scale, the brain needs rhythm and routine – much like the body in any workout. If you remain consistent, open to new things, and true to yourself, results will surface in no time.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?
