Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?
Confident Queen Journal and Workbook, an inspirational book to combat the increasingly common and harmful problem with girls, low self-esteem. This book is designed to motivate girls to love themselves for who they are, embrace imperfections, and develop unshakable self-confidence.
My daughters inspired me to write my book. Ever since they were born, I made it my mission to build their confidence through positive talk and affirmations. Growing up, I struggled with self-esteem issues and I wish I had someone or a resource to help build my self-confidence and self-esteem. I found out that many of the girls I mentor were experiencing a lot of the same self-esteem issues as I did as a teen. Therefore, I wanted to have a resource to help them with their confidence.
Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?
I believe pre-teen and teen girls, mothers of daughters, and teachers would be interested in the Confident Queen Book.
Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?
One of my favourite authors is Iyanla Vanzant. All of her books are inspirational and motivational. I’m always encouraged while reading her books.
Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?
The advice I would give to inspiring authors is to stay true to yourself and be authentic while writing. Being an author is a rewarding experience but every day won’t be easy. Don’t get discouraged if family and friends don’t support you. Keep going because someone needs to hear your message and story.
