When the Lights Go Out

About the Book

Savannah Hamilton, aka Savvy, was a struggling medical student by day and a stripper at night. Her job is not something she is proud of. However, it pays the bills and keeps her grandma in the home she currently lives in. Her circle has always been small, and that’s how she likes it. When she is offered the deal of a lifetime, her dreams of financial stability don’t seem so far into the future anymore. If she can survive being around her pretend pain in the ass better half, everything would be just fine.

Tyron Turley is a rising executive, and even though he’s rising, his company is losing more money than they are making. He has a brand that sells and his charisma that can charm any client. However, his company is haemorrhaging money. With loans piling up, and his staff walking out every day, he needs a miracle to survive. So, when his obnoxiously rich friends bet him two million dollars he couldn’t turn a stripper into a homemaker, he sees his troubles ending.

This would be the most money either of them has ever made. There was no downside, besides having to put up with one another. Yeah, they bumped heads a time or two, but there was more than enough space to separate. Except soon, the ebony beauty intrigues Tyron. They will marry soon and Savvy is finding it harder to sleep alone. At all costs, they have a goal they are determined to reach, but does that mean this can never be more?

About the Author

It’s hard to remember a time when I wasn’t reading, lost in a world that the author had created. From the reading came my first few short stories. From those short stories came my first novel in a notebook that I guarded with my life. Covid gave me the courage to do something with the voices in my head and the daydreams I had daily.

A friend once told me that if I loved the story then I only needed one other person to love my story. I married him and we now live in Missouri with our four children. I write stories that I think haven’t been written yet. I write stories that reflect where I come from and how I grew up, where I am now, and places people like me dream of going. I have a love for fantasy, drama, crime, and the streets of St. Louis, which is often the setting of my books.

Qn 1: Can you tell us more about your book What is it about?

When the Lights Go is about a morally correct stripper taking care of her elderly grandmother and a struggling CEO. They strike a deal, that includes living together and eventually getting married for a lot of money. Three is some vulture shocks and way of living upgrades. There is a lot of drama between exes and they both have pasts that they’d like to get away from and trust issues.

Qn 2: Who do you think would be interested in this book, is it directed at any particular market?

I think most women would enjoy my book. If they like a drama-filled love story with an urban twist.

Qn 3: Out of all the books in the world, and all the authors, which are your favourite and why?

I fell in love with the Bitch series by Joy Deja King when I was in my teens. It inspired me to start my first book and still inspires me to this day.

Qn 4: What guidance would you offer to someone new, or trying to enhance their writing?

Get you some honest writing buddies. It helps to have feedback. Also, be open to criticism and be willing to change your story for your audience.

Qn 5: Where can our readers find out more about you, do you have a website, or a way to be contacted?

I do have a website, https://shay-jonez-books.square.site/ and I am on all social media platforms. Just Google Shay Jonez.
